Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information CampSorted (operated by Baoshi Sun, an individual operator based in China, trading as Brightpage Studio) collects and how it is used. The short version: your family's plan never leaves your device unless you choose to share or export it, and we collect as little as possible.

1. Your plan stays on your device

School dates, work hours, camps, costs, receipts and your children's names, birthdates and grades are processed entirely in your web browser and saved in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to our servers. You can delete them with “Start over” or by clearing your browser's site data.

2. Exports and share links

“Export JSON” saves a file to your device. A share link contains a compressed copy of your plan in the part of the URL after the “#”, which browsers do not send to our servers. Anyone you give the link to (and any app you paste it into) can read the plan, including your children's first names and birthdates. Use initials or nicknames if you prefer.

3. Calendar files

The .ics reminder file is generated in your browser. If you import it into Google, Apple or Microsoft calendars, those providers' privacy policies apply to it.

4. Email addresses, sample and budget estimator

This website has no email sign-up form and we do not collect email addresses from visitors for newsletters, reminders or marketing. The free camp checklist downloads without any email address. If you email us for support, we use your address and message only to reply and keep a record of the conversation.

The sample summer and the FSA budget estimator run entirely in your browser. Budget inputs are saved on your device only.

5. License information

Your Pro license key is delivered to you by email after purchase (the receipt email from Creem). If you activate it, the license key and an activation identifier are stored in your browser's local storage and sent to our license server (and to Creem, which issues the keys) to check that the key is valid.

6. Payments and subscription

Pro is a digital subscription that renews yearly until you cancel, at the price described in our Terms, and you can cancel anytime. Purchases are processed by Creem, our Merchant of Record. Creem collects your name, email, billing address and payment details to process the payment and comply with tax law. We receive your name, email, country and order details from Creem so we can provide support. We never receive your full card details. See Creem's privacy policy for how it handles your data.

7. Hosting logs

Our hosting provider may automatically log technical data such as IP address, browser type and requested pages for security and reliability. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify you.

8. Analytics and cookies

We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, provides privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics that report aggregate statistics only. We will update this policy if we change how analytics work.

9. Children

The Service is for parents and guardians and is not directed to children. Purchases must be made by adults. Information about children that parents enter stays on the parent's device as described above.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the CCPA/CPRA in California, PIPEDA in Canada, or the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or object to its processing. To make a request about data we hold (support emails, order records), email support@campsorted.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
